WHAT DO I DO IN MARKETING?
Marketing is all about getting people to buy tickets to see our show! As well as implementing your own promotions strategies and teaching Cast how to promote the show, you’ll also be part of a super awesome guerilla team of street performers who go out and do awesome publicity stunts on campus. Our Marketing Team is a great way to build confidence and marketing skills that you can use throughout your life.
WHAT SKILLS CAN I LEARN IN MARKETING?
- Creating and implementing marketing strategies for theatre events
- How to make the best poster glue ever!
- Improving your communication skills
- Wowing everyone with publicity stunts/street performances
- Taking Insta-worthy photos of our society members for Humans of Med Revue
WHAT’S THE TIME COMMITMENT LIKE?
Commitment will vary across the semester and depends on the projects you want to get involved with. The workload is very light in the first couple weeks of semester (<1 hour/week) and builds up as we get closer to show week (~5 hours/week). If you decide to do a fabulous street performance, you’ll also have a couple rehearsals.
